An interactive holographic experience.

This project combines visuals coded with Processing, Kinect and DIY construction into a fully interactive hologram. The user's left hand controls the motion of the swarm of particles; retracting the hand causes the swarm to implode.
The visuals for this piece were adapted from code found on OpenProcessing, an open source platform for Processing code. Specific libraries were installed and used to coordinated with the Kinect to allow motion tracking. An additional library was used to map four instances of the visuals (each rotated 90 degrees) to fit the trapezoidal frame.
The project is a scaled up version of some popular hologram videos online in which a small trapezoidal structures displays a hologram from the glow of a cellphone. In this project, I used a square of vinyl and a projector to enlarge the hologram.
